About Diocese of Roermond
Roermond in the south-eastern part of the Netherlands, close to the border with Germany is a city, a municipality and since 1559 it has served as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Roermond.

The ‘Diocese of Roermond’ media library was created in a unique collaborative venture by the Dutch and German governments together with the Catholic Church. The Church’s records and historical documents were written in Latin, immensely valuable so requiring careful handling.
