JAM Media demanded a full and robust agency solution and selected MediaFiler to ensure a faster and more efficient service for its expanding North American market.
Master Images and Slider
The JAM Media image archive uses two new MediaFiler functionalities on the homepage; Master Images and Slider. Photo and news agencies now faced with the challenge of delivering so much digital media often use Master Images, sometimes called Headline Images to assist their wide range of clients select the required content faster. The editor selects an image from the series which will act as the headline / cover photo to depict the content of the series, this way the library can show a wider selection of diverse coverage on each page simultaneously with an icon to indicate the number of images within the series. Clicking on the headline image displays the entire series. This provides an attractive ‘shop window’ presentation of the images up for sale.
In addition, there is the Slider on the home page of the image bank. The editor decides which photos to show in the slider and then copies or moves those into the ‘slider’ folder within the image archive. Of course, it is also possible to show the latest uploaded photos. A showcase of your best shots or a running news slider of your latest shots – you decided.
